The prefix &#039;&#039;bw&#039;&#039; is the abbreviation of &#039;&#039;&#039;B&#039;&#039;&#039;aden-&#039;&#039;&#039;W&#039;&#039;&#039;ürttemberg, a state of the Federal Republic of Germany. bw-IT-services are federated IT services of Baden-Württemberg&#039;s universities which includes high performance computing and data storage as well as user support. The user support for high performance computing is coordinated by the projects bwHPC-C5 while for data storage by the project members of bwLSDF.
