The usage of bwForCluster is free of charge, but your computations must fit to the research focus of a bwForCluster, since they are financed via a grant-proposal by the DFG (German Research Foundation) and by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg.
Granting user access for a bwForCluster requires 3 steps:
- Registration of your "Rechenvorhaben" (German for "compute project") at the "Zentrale Antragsseite (ZAS)"
- Application for bwForCluster entitlement issued by your university
- Registration at assigned cluster site based on approved compute project and issued bwForCluster entitlement
