The bwHPC clusters are for members of universities and higher education institutions in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The use of the bwUniCluster/bwForClusters is free of charge.

bwUniCluster

The bwUniCluster is intended for all research areas not covered by the bwForClusters (including engineering) and for teaching. It does not require a separate project description, the entitlement for self-registration is sufficient. You must fill out a questionnaire within 14 days, otherwise you will lose access again!

How to Register for the bwUniCluster

bwForClusters

The bwForClusters are aimed at researchers in the research areas listed below and require a short project description in addition to the entitlement of your university. Group leaders or senior scientists register once for their research group. Research group members join an existing project without the need for an additional project application.

The research areas are:

  • Theoretical Chemistry, Condensed Matter Physics, and Quantum Sciences
  • Computational Humanities, Structural and Systems Biology, Medical Science, and Soft Matter
  • Neuroscience, Particle Physics, Materials Science, and Microsystems Engineering
  • Bioinformatics, Geosciences and Astrophysics.
