The production part of bwForCluster MLS&WISO is a high-performance compute resource with high speed interconnect. It is intended for compute activities related to research in Molecular Life Science (MLS) and Economics and Social Sciences (WISO). The hardware is located partly in Mannheim and partly in Heidelberg. Both sites are interconnected by a long-range, low-latency, high bandwidth, Infiniband link effectively forming one single cluster.
