The HPC Systems accessible by the bwHPC project are considered dual-use commodities.

Any user seeking to bwUnicluster or bwForCluster has to comply with the German “Außenwirtschaftsgesetzes (AWG)” and the “Außenwirtschafts-Verordnung (AWV)”, e.g. disallowing computations and development of weapons of mass destruction.

The centers providing access will therefore request a signature from the person responsible for the project running on the ressource. More information is available on http://www.ausfuhrkontrolle.info.'
