Q: I am having problems logging in to the cluster:
A: What you can do:
- Double-check your username and password.
- Make sure your CAPS LOCK key is not enabled.
- Try resetting your password if you have forgotten it.
- Ensure you have set up a second factor (OTP/2FA). This is required for login to NEMO2.
- Ensure you have the bwForCluster Entitlement .
- Ensure your account is not locked or expired.
- Ensure you have a valid Rechenvorhaben/project.
- Try logging in from a different device or browser.
- Try a different login node:
login1.nemo.uni-freiburg.delogin2.nemo.uni-freiburg.de
- Are you within the university network (Universities in Baden-Württemberg, BELWÜ)?
- If you are outside the BelWü network (e.g. at home), you must first connect via VPN to your home institution.
- Please send us the information from the "Help Desk" tab on the website: https://wieistmeineip.scc.kit.edu/index.html.en_US
- Send us the output of the following command:

A: Check which of the following requirements are missing:
- You need the bwForCluster Entitlement. If it is missing, contact the local support of your home university.
- Check if you are an active member of a compute activity (Rechenvorhaben) and that the RV has not expired: ZAS membership page
Q: I have lost my phone / OTP secret:
A: Add a new OTP secret
Use your Backup TAN list to log in and add a new OTP secret.
