SDS@hd is a central service for secure storage of scientific data (Scientific Data Storage). The service is available to the scientists of the Baden-Württemberg universities as a "Landesdienst". The focus is on data that is frequently accessed ('hot data'). The data are stored on the storage system LSDF2, the second hardware generation of the Large Scale Data Facility. The system is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg (MWK) and by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The LSDF2 is part of the bwDATA concept for data intensive services at universities in Baden-Württemberg.
