The bwForCluster MLS&WISO (see note below) is an entry level system within the state of Baden-Württemberg's bwHPC concept for high performance computing. It is a joint project of the Computing Center (URZ) and the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) of Heidelberg University and the Computing Center of the University of Mannheim (RUM). The system consists of two separate clusters. The production part is dedicated to research in the bwHPC domains Structural and Systems Biology, Medical Science, Soft Matter, and Computational Humanities. The development part is dedicated to the development of methods for scientific computing in general.
