There are three regular login nodes and two visualization nodes that are also directly accessible from outside on Justus2.
1 Host Names
The address justus2.uni-ulm.de resolves to multiple addresses, which can also be singly connected to via:
justus2-login01.rz.uni-ulm.dejustus2-login03.rz.uni-ulm.dejustus2-login04.rz.uni-ulm.de
Similarly, justus2-vis.uni-ulm.de connects to one of the two visualization nodes:
justus2-vis01.rz.uni-ulm.dejustus2-vis02.rz.uni-ulm.de
2 IP Addresses
Those names translate to both, IPv4 addresses (134.60.111.XXX) and IPv6 addresses (2001:7c0:3101:a01::)
If you are seeing long delays when connecting to Justus2, this might be because name-to-address resolution is slow on your server, or because you can only connect to one type of address (e.g. due to firewall rules) and need to wait out the timeouts of one type of address before the other type is tried.
