Due to a critical security vulnerability, all login nodes of the HPC systems at KIT had to be taken offline immediately.
We are currently experiencing an issue on bwUniCluster 3.0 that prevents users from logging in. The disruption is caused by a software error in the filesystem.

Our team is working intensively to resolve the problem, in close collaboration with the system’s manufacturer. At this time, we are unable to provide an exact estimate for when the issue will be fully resolved.

We do not expect a long‑term outage; therefore, any workspaces that may have expired during the disruption should be easily restorable using ws_restore.

The bwUniCluster 3.0+KIT-GFA-HPC 3 is the joint high-performance computer system of Baden-Württemberg's Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences for general purpose and teaching and located at the Scientific Computing Center (SCC) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The bwUniCluster 3.0 complements the four bwForClusters and their dedicated scientific areas.
